  1. In a nonstick skillet, cook hash browns, cumin and chili powder in 1 tablespoon oil over medium heat until golden. Remove and keep warm. In a bowl, beat egg substitute, milk and salt; set aside. In the same skillet, saute the onions, peppers and garlic in remaining oil until tender. Add egg mixture. Cook and stir over medium heat until almost set. Remove from the heat.
  2. Place crust on an ungreased 14-in. pizza pan. Spread salsa over crust. Top with egg mixture. Sprinkle with hash browns and cheese. Bake at 375 degrees F for 8-10 minutes or until cheese is melted.


  • When cutting or seeding hot peppers, use rubber or plastic gloves to protect your hands. Avoid touching your face.
  • Nutritional Analysis: One slice equals 375 calories, 12 g fat (2 g saturated fat), 10 mg cholesterol, 748 mg sodium, 50 g carbohydrate, 1 g fiber, 19 g protein. Diabetic Exchanges: 3 starch, 2 fat, 1 lean meat.

By far the best breakfast pizza I've ever tasted! I added 1 pound of hot sausage and also six slices of crumbled bacon. This recipe great or bad depending on the salsa you use. So use your favor...


This recipe was simple, but was lacking some meat (for my tastes anyway). I will probably make this again, but I will use real eggs and some sausage.

Nice change from the usual breakfast fare. I added about 3/4 package of sausage, crumbled. Served with fresh fruit.
