2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1-1/3 cups chopped walnuts
1 cup (6 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
In a mixing bowl, combine the brownie mix, eggs and vanilla; mix well. Fold in the walnuts and chocolate chips. Pour into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack. Yield: 2 dozen.
These were absolutely delicious! I used dark baking cocoa, and added icing on top. I will definitely use this recipe the next time I want to make brownies.
its ok, a little too cake like for me.....i made the walnut brownies with this mixture....thought the shortening was a little weird tho, maybe leave it out, and add oil when u actually make them...
Made the Brownie Snack Cake, great fluffy/squishy texture! I was happy to find a recipe with no chocolate chips, so no extra shopping. On the other hand the chocolate taste wasn't strong enough....
