  1. In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the first seven ingredients; mix well. Remove 1/4 cup for basting and refrigerate. Add chicken to the bag; seal and turn to coat. Refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.
  2. Drain and discard marinade from chicken. Grill, covered, over medium heat for 20 minutes. Baste with reserved marinade. Grill 20-30 minutes longer or until juices run clear, basting and turning several times.

  • Editor's Note: This recipe can also be prepared in the oven in a greased 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking dish. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees F for 50-60 minutes or until juices run clear.

This made a very good marinade. Things I did differently: 1) I added .5 Tbs of crushed reds for zing and 2) I only marinated the chicken for 5 hours since I was using boneless, skinless breasts....

This chicken was amazing! It's really easy, and so delicious! I marinated it for almost 20 hours and it was so tender, nobody could get enough! I will definitely make this a lot!

I made something similar to this last night using fresh rosemary, thyme and parsley all chopped, about a 1/2 cup of fresh squeezed lemon juice, fresh chopped garlic, olive oil and tons of kosher...

I loved it! I made it on my electric grill in under 10min! Great with Onion Rice Pilaf

Add 1 teaspoon tarragon and replace vegetable oil with olive oil for 5 stars! (Olive oil is not only ever so much more healthy but it's much better tasting as well).

Not very flavorful
