  1. In a bowl, combine the pretzels, peanuts and cereal. In a microwave or heavy saucepan, melt chocolate and shortening, stir until smooth. Pour over pretzel mixture; toss to coat evenly. Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls onto waxed paper; cool.

This recipe wasn't a big hit at our Christmas dinner. They were very greasy looking and feeling. After a few poor in-house reviews we ended up tossing the rest of the batch.
