  1. In a mixing bowl, beat egg. Add the milk, sugar, vanilla and salt; stir well. Pour into two ungreased 6-on. custard cups. Sprinkle with nutmeg.
  2. Place cups in a baking pan. Fill pan with hot water to a depth of 1 in. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees F for 35-40 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.

This is a very simple custard, I made this because I was going to dentist to get two teeth pulled, I made it the night before and it was O so comforting. I recommend it highly! Enjoy!

This was easy and very good. I made it a 2nd time and upped it to serve 8, used half sugar and half splenda, cooked it in a round pyrex casserole bowl for 1.5 hours. Came out great.
