  1. Beat butter and sugar until light and creamy. Beat in egg. Stir in the caraway seeds.
  2. Sift the flour, salt, and baking powder together; add to the butter mixture alternately with the brandy. Chill the dough for 2 to 3 hours.
  3. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased baking sheet. Dust tops of cookies with confectioner's sugar.
  4. Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 10 to 12 minutes, or until light brown.

I made these cookies for a charity bake sale. They came out perfect! The second day of the sale, a classmate came by to see if there were any left (there weren't), but I gave him the recipe.

I like caraway seeds and think it makes a great combination in these cookies. Turned out great!
