  1. Melt butter in baking pan.
  2. Melt the milk in the water.
  3. Mix the ingredients with the butter in the following order: sugar, oatmeal, vanilla extract, eggs, flour, baking powder, cereal and milk. Pat into a greased 9 x 13 inch pan.
  4. Bake at 325 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Slice into desired sizes.

This is a good oatmeal cake but it wasn't what I expected in a bar. It was runny and not the consistancy to "pat" in the pan. I also had to bake it for 40 minutes instead of 15.

This recipe was super yummy... especially if you're a person who enjoys a chewy breakfast bar. I added an extra 1/2 cup each of crushed almonds and raisins and used my favorite cereal instead...
