I am so displeased with the search on this site. I put in chicken salad and got a response that there were no recipes for chicken salad. I even put chicken as the only ingredient. With all of the changes here, you would think they would improve the search.

Who has advice on hard boiled eggs? I have made them ONCE where the shells slipped off easily and the yolks were a perfect fluffy yellow. Any other time I have made them the shell stuck, the yolk turned green/gray, and that were just pure ugly! I have tried vinegar, salt, boiling water, turning it off, adding egg, covering, adding ice water, peeling under running water. I have tried putting eggs in pan, covering with cool water, heating to a boil, boiling for 10-15 minutes, turning off, letting sit, ice bath, running under cool water. I have used fresh eggs, old eggs, in between eggs, brown eggs, white eggs, green eggs, speckled eggs, small, medium, and large eggs! It simply just doesn't matter and I have no idea what I did the ONE time they turned out correct, other than it was just 2 eggs. The other 50 times I tried 4, 6, 8, 12 ....

I found a recipe for making chia seed gel. It said to use filtered or bottled water, not tap water. Is it OK to use tap water that has a filter on it?
