Anyone remember me complaining - on August 28th, mind you - that our doctor's office had left my DH sitting in an exam room for nearly two hours so he walked out? They just called today. Glad to know they finally noticed.....

Don, I know it's been a while now, but have to say how nice it is that you're back. You're like a fresh cup of good coffee with your posts. 'A good analogy? I am one of those people who love fruit cake. You know the one, with lots of pecans and cherries and pineapple (good stuff) not the chewy citron. I saw the "Christmas Wreath Cake" on this site and it looks good. With all of the ingredients I think they are expensive to make so my first one I want to turn out good. What fruit cake recipe do you have that you think fits this criteria? When I make it, I will let you know how it turns out.

OT~ Wedding photography...anyone have any dealings with it recently? I am so out of the loop on it anymore. They just take pics, post online and expect you to print yourselves, is that how it works now?

Hi all! I was wondering if there was a way to communicate with other folks on this site more personally. For example, I just read a wonderful review written by someone, and it just occurred to me that I would love to be able to tell her that I appreciated what she said. It was a bit more than just a recipe review--there was a great quote in it--and I wanted to tell her that I echo her sentiment in that regard. Anyway, there may be some obvious way to do this, but forgive me I live in Fibrofog and sometimes the obvious escapes me. Love this site and the folks on it (mostly)!

I really like the "whats for dinner" and "what did you have for dinner" posts. Based on what I see you serve for dinners, do you tell you family what I do? I frequently say, "You know most people don't eat like this on a Tuesday".
