I found this recipe and think it would be great to make since I have pears that no one is eating. I have everything but the self raising flour can I sub reg four and some baking powder for that? If so how much of each if anyone knows. http://theimaginationtree.com/2015/02/pear-cinnamon-muffin-recipe.html

Good at room or warmer temperature & doesn't have to be refrigerator-cold food for camp suggestions please. :) Band camp is almost boot camp - long hours, hot weather. Any type food/beverage is appreciated. Thanks, All! :)

Question: (1 answer)

Okie dokie never will I use a boxed angel cake again. That is awful. Just awful. But on the happy side we found 13 baby chicks snuggled and chripping happily in the shed. We had no idea mama had a nest up in the loft. Even cooler a hawk came down and I got to watch 10 blue jays wail away on it chasing it off the property. Go blue jays. But no more boxed angel cake. Gross.

I am looking for a recipe for the creamy peanut butter filling that is used by bakeries to fill doughnuts. I am looking for something that does not need to be refrigerated. Thanks!

Hi everyone! I was looking in my recipe box for a hearty, healthy, lower carb (maybe 25ish) muffin or bread for fast breakfasts. Like the sound of chocolate zucchini or using apples or carrots. Got any recipes for me?! ~~~~ While looking, I found this very interesting recipe & just in time for tomorrow!

HELP! Making an angel food cake. OK not from scratch a box but never the less I wasn't thinking! It calls for a bunt cake pan but ummm...mine is packed away and I have no idea where. My round cake pan is clearly way to small. Can I use a large glass casserole dish instead? And FYI I've never made one from a box and it kinda of smells like play dough.

Welll...I have failed!!! The big Guacamole Feast was a bust!!! I bought Poblano peppers (they looked so good I bought a bunch for both my daughters and myself because they were gorgeous!), a few jalapeños, a few Anahiems, and two hugely spicy ones (sorry, senior moment here) I ca't remember names of! Well, I donned gloves, prepared each type (only one poblano, 'cause the others will be for tortilla soup and chile rellenos May 5!) and not a ONE of those peppers had a scoville rating of anything!!! There was NO HEAT in any of them!!! Is it too soon for spicy chiles or something!!! We ended up using Saracha and Cayenne to spice!!! Chef John would have been so proud!!!). I also made salsa Cruda which I love, but it too had no spice without the spice cupboard! Oh well....the Tacos were great other than that, & my 17 month old Grandson discovered sliced olives in a big way!!! He ate over a small can by himself!!! I suspect my daughter will be finding slices everywhere in her dining room today! He got a little "frisky" with them near the end>>!!! Blessings!!!
