Question: (5 answers)

I am making a cheese ball for Thursday. I would like to double or triple the recipe , maybe store it in a plastic container and then make more balls for Christmas Eve. Think the mixture will be OK for two more weeks? I'm planning on using cream cheese, cheddar and roasted red peppers. I know I've eaten leftovers for a week or so, but maybe not two weeks.

I would like to make lobster mac and cheese Christmas Eve. Can I make the day before or only make sauce day before and add pasta and lobster before baking? Anyone tried the Foodnetwork recipe by the Neeley's for it?

Hey folks! I made this last night and thought it worthy of sharing. Anyone out there want to try it and give me feedback? I would appreciate it. Does it need some heat? http://allrecipes.com/personalrecipe/64253588/coconut-shrimp-risotto/detail.aspx

I am looking at the recipe American Frittata, which I chose under the breakfast and then egg section. In the ingredient list it lists: "1/2 onions, sliced." I think either it is missing the measured amount, like "cup" or it is supposed to be 1/2 onion, (no "s") sliced. If you could let me know what it is supposed to be and/or fix it the error I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you. Bonnie Rose

Do any of you sell on ebay? I've been selling on ebay. 3 sales in two days! So happy for that but how in the "bleep" do they get away with charging a percentage on your items sale and shipping? Then on top of it they own pay pal and you have to pay a fee there as well! OK the sales fee and pay pal fee I can understand but taking part of the shipping too!? What!

Question: (4 answers)

Hi. I have a problem with a recipe. It is called Chocolate Chip Traybake. I have followed the instructions but twice now it has just collapsed into a sludgy mess. 100g/4oz butter 100g/4oz soft brown sugar 50g/2oz caster sugar 1 egg tsp vanilla 100g plain flour 2.5ml/½ tsp bicarb pinch salt 100g chocolate chips. cream butter and sugar. Add egg and vanilla, Stir in flour, bicarb, salt and chocolate. Spoon into 12" aquare baking tray. Bake for 15 mins at 190°/375° gas mark 2. I am not very experienced at cakes so not sure what I am doing wrong. I use a Kenwood Chef Titanium for the creaming so it is well creamed. The only thing I am wondering about is that I don't have a 12" square traybake thingy so I am using a 12" square cake tin but can't imagine that would cause major problems. What seems to happen is that it initially seems to rise ok but then collapses into sludge. I would say that there doesn't seem to be much mixture to go over the base of the tin but I don't know if this is normal in a traybake. The second time I tried a lower temperature and shorter cooking time to no avail.

NON-COOKING Question for Grandmothers :)... I am throwing a shower on Wednesday for a co-worker who will be a grandmother for the first time and we are all buying her gifts to keep at their home for when the baby comes to visit. I have the menu in place but am looking for suggestions for useful gifts from all of you who are blessed with grandchildren. What would she use the most? Thanks so much!

Hello AR! I just received my first 3 x mass cards and want to say thank you! I also want to mention I apparently didn't read the rules and did not include a recipe. I suppose that would had made sense but I didn't. So sorry. :( I hope I'm forgiven. I DID include something just not a recipe. :(

I wanted to take creme bruee to a party. Will it hold up or will the caramelized top liquify? I don't know because whenever I make creme brulee it is eaten shortly after I caramelize the top. Thanks!

Thanks for the help with the baking time. Have submitted a pic of the mini choc chip banana loaves for posting on my profile page. They took exactly 37 minutes at 350. Got 3 mini loaves from my regular recipe amount.
