Since most boxed cake mixes sold in most grocery stores have been reduced from the previous 18.25 oz to the 15.something oz , how can we convert recipes which call for previously available 18.25 oz boxes to adjust for the reduced cake mix amount?

I was wondering if one could do a make ahead lasagna dish and put it in the freezer at that point so as to bake it in a week or so when my relatives come out on vacation. Or at what point of the recipe can I freeze it? Thanks so much!

I just made a recipe by chef emerill for jambalaya. It is so spicy we cannot eat it! I tried adding sugar..that didn't help.
then added some vinegar, that didn't help.
Added some chicken broth also.
I hate to toss this...it has shrimp, andouille sausage and chicken in it. Can anybody help me rescue this?

I have a question regarding the BLT salad. I am trying it for the first time. It gets great reviews, however, it says "serve immediately". Would it be a good idea to serve at a party or will it wilt too soon? I guess I'm not sure about the "immediately" if it means I should not set it out for a buffet type party. Help, anyone?
