Question: (2 answers)

OT question. My papa sent me a hand bag for my birthday. I received it yesterday. This is a rarity I can hardly believe it. He never sends me anything! So this is extra special. Though it is not what I would had bought for myself I do like it and want to keep it. Problem my step mum smokes and I don't. It reeks of cig smoke. How do I get rid of that smell? It's not cloth but some other material Dooney and burke. Sure I didn't spell that right! Suggestions it is strong!

Trying to find Chef John's recipe (and video) for frutti di mare that I saw last year on allrecipes.com and now I cannot find it! It was delicious and I want to make it again...I remember that he added pesto to the sauce. Anyone know where I can find it? Thanks!!

Sueb..incase you didnt get my comment in your question..here it is again :) i really LOVE cocoa :) so yes i did mean to use that amount, alot of recipes ive read only use the 1/2 cup and to me wasnt enough..lol As for the coconut, i did use the full amount, sorry if it didnt work out for you. I find using less made the mixture too loose.. but i also might think that depends on how long you cook down all the wet ingredients?. Im sorry the way i wrote didnt work out for you, but i am glad you found a way :)

I was looking through my recipe box, and found a recipe I had forgotten about! I only have a few more than 12,000 recipes, so that figures! But, it is a holiday delight!

I used to have a recipe for a dessert we called 1-2-3-4. It had four layers. I believe the bottom layer was a crust made with flour, butter, sugar and pecans, then maybe a cream filling or pudding of some kind and it was topped with chocolate. I'm missing a layer as it had four layers. It was very rich. Anyone have a clue as to what this could have been? I've looked up 1-2-3-4 with no results.
