There was a restaurant in Tulsa called Rick's Cafe Americain at 51st and Harvard, and owned by Rick Kamp, who had also owned the Razor Clam in Tulsa. Rick's Cafe Americain served a pan fry steak called The Witt. It was sort of like chicken fried steak, but the sauce was a bit more luxurious than plain cream gravy. I think it had mushrooms and a taste of Worcestershire sauce in it, but not positive about the Worcestershire. I haven't been able to find the recipe anywhere. I found a story that Aunt Susan's cookbooks from the 30s and 40s was the original recipe but I don't know if that's correct or not.

Help! I am even more sleep deprived then normal, and have miles to go and rows to hoe {= Apparently we are having blueberry pancakes for dinner tonight. I learned, From my mother-in-law, to add canned blueberries to the pancake batter – then use the reserved blueberry "juice" to make blueberry syrup for the pancakes. But, it's been years since I've done this… Does anyone have any ideas? Do I add water to the juice to equal two cups, add 1 cup sugar, And cook it down to thicken? Kind of like making regular maple syrup with sugar, water, and mapleine?.

Good morning busters. I'm in search of a good butter cream frosting. And my question is does anyone have the recipe for the glaze for a pineapple cranberry upside down cake. I want to use the pineapple juice for the glaze. Thanks
