How would you serve this? I can see myself serving this over pasta and/or greens just for me, but how would you serve this as an appetizer, to guests?

How do you time cooking prime rib and then make yorkshire pudding with the drippings and still serve the prime rib hot and not well done? I have a very small oven.

Question: (1 answer)

I need help with measurements. I want to make a strawberry cake for our son's birthday next week. The recipe I will be making is not an allrecipe recipe. The recipe calls for white cake mix 18.25. I was in the groc store and the weight on the box of Pillsbury is 15.25, Duncan Hines 16.25. Would you buy 2 and if so how much cake mix to use from the second box? Thank you!

OT - What's your favorite brand of cutlery? I'm in search of a new chefs knife. My current one is Pampered Chef, the problems 1) it's dull as heck and the knife sharpener doesn't help any 2) the top of the blade seems to cut my palms/fingers, especially when cutting hard things like carrots, acorn squash, sweet potatoes, etc. At first I thought maybe my hands were wet and the slipped on the knife or something, but I've made sure my veggies and hands were dry and my husband and I both have cuts all over our palms.

I am having friends over for dinner tonight and making beef loin, skewered baby red potatoes, and bread so far. I was thinking of making some sort of cold broccoli slaw salad. Something fancier than a regular broccoli salad. Any suggestions on a dressing or additions?

I went to town early this morning and prepared myself for the dentist and the work that he had to do which was put in a filling. My dentist treats me so well that I did not even have to pay for the work done. I was able to treat Christopher for a $50.00 bag of cat food that was getting low. it is a nice blessing to receive.

Is there a way to make chicken and rice in the crockpot? I just need a very basic recipe. I usually just put chicken breasts, cream of mushroom soup, and white rice in a casserole dish in the oven. Thank you! :)

Question: (1 answer)

I have a recipe that calls for "super sweet dried corn". I Googled it, but all I can find is sites selling it. Some of them talk about re-hydrating it---do I need to do that before using it? The recipe doesn't say. Can I sub regular corn for it? Our fave is Trader's Joe's frozen Roasted Corn. Would that work? The recipe I am trying to make is the Stetson Chopped Salad they serve at Cowboy Ciao in Scottsdale. TIA!

If you like peanut butter and Butterfingers, you'd like this cookie! I really need for them to cool off so that I can put them out of sight!
