why is it now hard to save a recipe to my recipe box. I will now tell my staff not to us your site anymore. Before it was much easier

Now when you want to add a recipe to your folder, you touch the little arrow next to the word Save. Then over on the right is the dropdown box for the folders. If you don't want to add it to a folder but just add it generally, just hit Save. It's not hard once you get the hang of it.

Aha! I cleared my cache on my computer yesterday, and lo and behold! the dropdown box is now right next to the Save tab!

Hi madoshi. This board is for users like you; you can tell Allrecipes how you feel by clicking the "let us know" link. At any rate, to add a recipe to your box, there's an orange tab titled "+ Recipe Box". You can add the recipe to a certain folder, if you have folders set up.

As Doughgirl8 said and as stated at the top of the forum "Looking to tap into the wisdom of the world's largest community of home cooks?", this forum is by and for members. So please do post questions and suggestions but do you really think that posting threats to discontinue use are effective?

Madoshi, Please don't give up. I'd been saving recipes like crazy for at least a year and then finally went to organize them -- just as the Recipe Box system was changing. It ironed out its kinks and I figured it out. It's very easy to send things to the folders I finally set up. Since I'm the one who set up my system (including many I named), I know what to look for in the drop-down. If I click too fast, the recipe is "sent successfully" and I have to then go to RB and file it. The "send" has been freezing off and on the last few days, but if I give it a rest, it'll then be fine. Sorry this is so lengthy, but that's my tendency, especially if I see someone questioning what I just figured out.

You just press the arrow and you can categorize it now. It's easier than trying to sort them all out, actually.
 
We do our best to make sure that Allrecipes user contributions are appropriate, but if you see anything questionable, please let us know so we can address the issue.
