Suely is looking for: (1 recommendation)
Good Morning - looks like this isn't just for recipe requests so here goes. Last week I attended a wedding shower for the 22 year old daughter of a friend. One of the gifts was a beautiful cookbook from Costco. The kind you put your own recipes in. The giver added her own favorites. Just precious and thoughtful. And definitely something the bride will cherish forever.

I would love a gift like that. I can think of so many good recipes from this site to fill it with too! My cupboard is overflowing with printed out AR recipes. I really need to go through them and organize the binders I started awhile back :)

Someone posted the other day about Staples doing something similar. Not everyone is trying to do a cookbook fundraiser, so it is a great alternative. I wouldnt know where to start, with 4 full boxes of index card recipes collected over the years. I had thought about doing a family one and collecting a couple favorite recipes from everyone. I would love a gift of cherished family recipes.

I love seeing family cookbooks. On my mom's side, the mother of the bride puts together a huge scrapbook of recipes..everyone in the family gives a recipe. After it's put together, it's gifted to the bride at her shower.

Suely was it a printing service at Costco that printed the recipes? I don't have a Costco here where I live. So, I am not familiar with what they offer.

Lela - it was like an organizer/photo album with dividers. You just add your printed recipes. I went to Costco today and they didn't have them. Maybe a seasonal item? Not on the Costco website either. I'm sure you can find them somewhere online.

I bought one of these for my daughter-in-law for Christmas last year at Costco. It was for sale with the books around Nov and Dec( this is the only time I saw them)and I filled it with all my favorites. I used almost all the pages and copied off more to write on and put them in plastic protector pages. it had all my son's favorites in there. It was their first Christmas married and I wanted to do something special for her. Took me months to hand write them all out and he said she loved it. So check back around the holidays, it was a hit
