DD wants cupcakes for high school grad party. Made chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry from store cake mix but want to jazz up with frosting. What do you think about mixing store frosting with coolwhip and fresh strawberries, chocolate frosting, coolwhip an d top with toffee bits.

Kimberly - Congratulations to DD on her graduation. I personally would use this recipe known to be from a professional baker:

At least, I believe Candice is a professional baker. At the very least, she does professional-level baking.

For the vanilla cupcake do a peppermint frosting with a little bit of crushed peppermint bits on it for the chocolate cupcake fith a peanut butter fudge frosting with Browne bits for the strawberry cupcake do a strawberry short cake on top of the frosting like do a wip cream frosting then drizzle strawberry syrup and a cherry on top with crushed nuts

Hi Kimberly - the recipe Mrs. J. posted about is the BEST strawberry frosting! Remember, if it is warm, frosting with cool whip will start to weep and break down. If you are not taking them from the fridge until it is time to serve them, they will be fine.

Thanks Molly, I agree about the coolwhip and refrigeration. I will post as a recipe request.
