Hi everyone! I'm preparing to write this week's newspaper column on New Year's Eve appetizers. I'm definitely using the AR Mouthwatering Stuffed Mushrooms recipe. It's one of our favorites! What are your favorites and recommendations? Who's going to print this week?! Thanks, friends!

Red, white, and green salsa is a very festive addition to Christmas parties and can also be made all year for different events.

Oh Celeste! I made these for a back-to-school barbeque this past summer and they were inhaled! My friends husband gobbled up the last six left!

Best Formula Three-Cheese Fondue

We tried a couple of recipes; this was voted the best! The Gruyere gives a very sweet and nutty flavour to the fondue, the sharp Cheddar makes it tangy, and the Emmentaler blends it all. Cooking the flour first helps the mixture not to be so pasty and powdery.

Hi Cathy! We have a blast doing different fondues. Savory and sweet with many dippers!

As a matter of fact I have one of my mom's fondue pots from the early 70's. She threw fondue parties way back then!

Cream Cheese Penguins

Just imagine a cute display of penguins, made with black olives, carrots and cream cheese! You can add scarves and hats by using fresh red pepper strips, or canned pimentos cut into different shapes. Use frilly toothpicks if you can.

Holiday hugs to you, my friend! Yes, yes, yes! I made some last summer at the request of one of my teachers. I brought the brushetta and a baguette loaf. She literally tore into it in the classroom before the kiddos came in from recess! Thanks, Penny, for the reminder. I think that this compliments the mushrooms nicely, too. Love you, Sister!

This recipe makes a huge amount. I can it and give it away as Christmas gifts. We usually make this as a group project to cut down on prep time and cost. The ingredient amounts may be altered proportionally as needed.
