My folks came up for the weekend. We all really loved this chili, salad and cornbread. DH grilled dogs and after the high school play we had chili dogs.

Good morning, LN...hubs and I went to the local pub and splurged on chicken wings. They have a wasabi/teryaki style that is soooo good! They also pour a nice glass of wine ;)

Good morning, did this as usual doubled with one with the brown sugar on bottom and one without. This time did some real tweaks to the mixture add 1 tbsp of dry parsley, oregano and basil leaves. Put have of mixture in pan added about 1 cup of shredded cheeses then balance of meat on top.

Italian Country Style Ribs

Country style ribs smothered in hearty stewed tomatoes are easy to make when you use a jar of pasta sauce! Liven things up with some sliced mushrooms or peppers. Serve over noodles and you've got a deliciously rustic meal.

We had been to the West Side Market in Cleveland and picked up some great shrimp, clams, oysters so we stopped on the way home and got us each a lobster tail and pulled the crab legs out of the freezer. Jon kicked me out of the kitchen and made up a fantastic seafood boil on the stove for us. He added potatoes to the pot with onion, garlic and a glug of wine - it was great! Of course we finished the bottle of wine with the meal.... LOL

MA, I am drooling! And DH cooked for you, double nice! You don't want to leave a bottle of wine open for too long!

LN, you are so right about leaving those bottles open - not a good plan at all!! ;) I love it when I get kicked out of my kitchen - of course I had to help clean up, though. Oh well....
