First question - - what is the "easiest" or "simpliest" bread making recipe that you know works for this yeast challenged individual. Second question - - what bread machine do you recommend if I want to resort to commercial equipment for help.

I was a yeast killer too. This blog by Baking Nana cured my fears. This is a great starter for making bread. http://allrecipes.com/cook/13432715/blogentry.aspx?postid=299650

I started making bread about a year or so ago and haven't had a single loaf that wasn't edible. The hardest part for me is still just knowing when the dough itself looks and feels "right". I use a kitchen aid and it makes the kneading so much easier for me.

In case there was a doubt, that was totally meant as encouragement, not bragging. I have never watched anyone make bread except on the 'net so I am totally winging it with some help from the folks here and on other blogs. :)
