For the thick cut, I would do 350 and place on a wire grate over a parchment lined cookie sheet. The grease will tend to get absorbed by the parchment paper making clean up easier and less like to smoke in the oven. The wire grate allows the grease to drip away.

i do 350 and also use a wire rack and save the fat for flavoring in greens and peas. you don't need to use much, of course, i'm a heart attack away :)

This is the way to get crisp bacon without having to constantly turn it, watch over it, or get burnt by splatters of grease. It 'fries' up flat and doesn't curl, which looks great beside a breakfast plate of eggs, and makes BLT sandwiches much easier. Very nice when feeding a family or crowd.

I do mine in the microwave. saves a big mess in my oven. lay strips on a microwavable plate, place a paper towel over them. microwave on high, one minute per slice. the outside strips will cook crispier than the middle ones.
