What do you put in your "Thank You" gift baskets? I want to make one for a couple friends that have really help me out recently and one for out of state family that we will be spending Thanksgiving with. The out of state while have to survive an 8-9 hour drive. I am thinking banana nut muffins or mini loaves and I make pretty good fudge and some other candies. What are your thoughts and ideas. Thank you!!

All-Day Apple Butter

From Syracuse, Nebraska, Betty Ruenholl writes, 'I make several batches of this simple and delicious apple butter to freeze in jars. Depending on the sweetness of the apples used, you can adjust the sugar to taste.'

I love this stuff!!! It's pretty easy too. Put a ribbon on the jar to pretty it up, makes a lovely addition to a gift basket in my opinion. But save some for yourself!

Zucchini bread is a perfect addition to a gift basket. I'd also recommend adding fudge, your favorite candies, and caramel popcorn drizzled with some chocolate (white or milk are my favorite: you can do whatever you like)

Also, I'd add a card and/or photo. This is a wonderful addition.

Not just food-- I also give things like scented candles, wine, artisan soaps, little sea salt or Himalayan salt grinders, unusual spice blends, 4 inch pots of live herbs for the windowsill.

Perfect for this time of year. Travels and ships well too. I usually make mini loaves and ship them to friends and family. http://allrecipes.com/personalrecipe/62139373/sweettreats-pumpkin-bread-with-caramel-icing/detail.aspx

I usually just do a fruit basket w/a bottle of sparkling cider or wine. You could also add your fudge or candies to this, I would make a nice gift.
