Tender pork and black beans stew all day in your slow cooker. Just combine the ingredients, set the cooker to low, and 8 to 10 hours later enjoy a rich and delicious chili.

I have about 6 hours to make this...should I still keep it on low...or should I do high or a combo of both...and if a combo of both - high first than low or low first than high?

OH and I am taking it to a friend's house...only about half hour away. To reheat should I do low or high (I am thinking high because I want it to reheat quickly...just don't want to dry anything out) Thanks!!!

I would do 3 hours high, then 3 low. Then I would wrap it up in towels or whatever to keep it warm for your 30 minute trip. I would use that time as your rest time and would not reheat. It should still be plenty hot.

high the slow. just turn it to warm, if you have that feature prior to leaving the house. i don't think it should get cold real quick. recipe sounds great :)

Probably too late now, but you could have browned/seared the meat first, then added to the crockpot to give the meat a jump start. Looks like a good recipe, something different!
