The movers are coming on Tuesday! Yay! I'm going to be making Pepperoncini Beef for us to eat after a crazy day and was wondering if I should offer the guys that are doing all the work some for lunch? It is a professional moving company not just friends. I've never had actual movers before. Thanks!

Pepperoncini Beef

Roast beef cooked in a slow cooker with garlic and pepperoncini makes a delicious and simple filling for sandwiches. Serve on hoagie rolls with provolone or mozzarella cheese and your favorite condiments.

I have a fairly big roast so there will be plenty. And there's only supposed to be three of them.

I haven't moved in ages but I don't think it would be expected. That said, I don't think it ever hurts to be kind. I would offer to share.

It's great to offer! But chances are they might decline. I've offered food to movers, plumbers etc. who have helped me, but they always decline, always in a hurry! Except one guy, a carpenter, he was so excited to eat, must have been hungry at that moment! LOL, good luck with your move :)

I've always fed my movers. They've always accepted and appreciated. If you have enough to share then yes! Ps, I have that recipe pegged for us this week too!

I made up this recipe by accident, but it turns out pretty good. My boyfriend loves it, and asks to make it all of the time.

Experienced movers who will be working all day probably know to bring their own lunch since during packing you most likely won't have time to cook a meal and perhaps kitchen items might already be packed up. There is certainly nothing wrong in offering soft drinks or food. I personally would never serve alcohol to anyone working at my house due to potential insurance issues (i.e. what if the movers get into a car accident when driving away?)

Thanks everyone! Since I have two cans of cinnamon rolls to use up, I'm going to make this too. Maybe they'll take sweets if nothing else! http://bakememore.com/2009/04/05/omg-cinnamon-roll-cake/

A kindness offered is never misplaced. I would draw the line at offering beer or any such alcohol

Lunch? My husband said hell no because they are getting paid for their service. Non-alcoholic cold beverages? yes ......just an opinion from a guy

If you have it anyway, I say offer it, along with lots of cold drinks. They will appreciate your graciousness even if they decline.

Sour cream gives a tangy twist to this otherwise traditional banana bread recipe.

Yes! I moved a year ago. When the guys came it was early in the morning. I only had them for about 4 hrs. So I made banana bread to go with their coffee that they brought. They were very thankful! :)

I bought pizza one time for three guys installing carpet in my house. It's up to you if you have extra go ahead and ask them. I bet they would really appreciate it.
