I bought some very ripe bananas, then unpeeled them, then put them into the fridge for a few days. How long can I keep them in the fridge unpeeled and safe to eat before using them in a recipe?

Actually if it was me I would mash them (I'm assuming your recipe will call for mashed bananas) with a bit of lemon juice mixed in (Tablespoon per 3 bananas maybe) and freeze them. Not too sure how long past a couple of days they will be ok in the fridge.

3-4 days according to the experts at still tasty. A better choice would be to freeze them whole. They last a very long time that way. ...

can u freeze them? they thaw out pretty fast and you get a bunch of really sweet juice to add to whatever your making!

:) ....yes I freeze whole bananas for baking and works great. Obviously, they turn to mush when thawed so aren't good for eating, but for something like muffins, you want them to be mushy so they are easier to combine with the other ingredients.
