You won't miss the dairy in these tangy blueberry muffins! They have great flavor and a moist texture that produces muffins that no one will believe came from a dairy-free recipe.

What are you looking for? I am lactose intolerant and I use almond or coconut milk, lactose free yogurt, lactose free swiss cheese.

I'm looking for anything really. My daughter is 7 and is badly allergic to milk and soy. There's not many substitute options where I live.

Put "lactose free" in the search bar at the page. And tell us a little more about your daughter. How old is she and what categories of recipes are you looking? I cook pretty much lactose for my husband and don't find it to be a problem at all.

My daughter is 7. She's allergic to milk and soy. I don't have a lot of replacement options where I live. I feel like I'm learning to cook all the time. She does drink lactose free milk so it helps.

DD#2 is lactose intolerant. She can, however, have cheddar cheese, provided it is 7 years old or older, likewise she is quite fond of goat cheese, feta cheese and most European made cheeses. She can have butter, provided it is Normandy butter (European style) I am able to get lactose free sour cream at my normal grocery store. You can find cheese slices (like a velveeta type individual sliced + wrapped) that are made from rice and soy. Lactose free milk exists, but you sometimes have to look for it. She has pills that are an over the counter medication type of thing, that she can take if lactose is going to be there and she can't avoid it. (Or the lure of ice cream is too tempting!) You can get non-dairy whipped cream product and that sort of thing, but it is a long learning curve to examine the labels to ensure that dairy products are not in your purchases for your daughter, but its not impossible!

This recipe is made with all raw ingredients. The combination of avocado, banana, and raw cocoa nibs may seem odd, but the banana provides the taste, and the avocado adds texture, and the cocoa nibs add crunch.

I use soy, almond or rice milk for recipes. Use the same amount as for cow's milk. Packaged pudding mixes won't work with milk substitutes, however.

Can you get goat's milk? It willk fill a big hole if you can't get lactose free. Can you ask your grocery to bring something if for you, "special order" Milk can be frozen and thawed...

Can you use margarine instead of butter? Is it lactose free?

Slow Cooker Spicy Chicken

Chicken breasts slowly simmer until very tender in an easy mixture of salsa, garlic, onion, and spices. Start your slow cooker in the morning, and the chicken is ready to shred and serve in tortillas or on rice when you get home.

Made this the other day and my 13 year old LOVED it. You can alter the spices to your heat liking? I went easy on them, then when chicken was cooked I tasted and decided to add more. We made these into tacos. Could you do the same?

Use your slow cooker to prepare this great twist on basic barbecue chicken. It is easy to prepare and the sauce also makes a great topping for baked potatoes.

Not sure if lactose is hidden in some condiments or other items I am not aware of, but most kids (and adults) love these. Serve with fries!
