HappyGrandma is looking for: (7 recommendations)
Maybe a year ago, there was a recipe for a Margarita cupcake & I think from someone on the Buzz. It was delicious & I thought I had it saved. I've searched margarita & lime. Anyone remember this? Thanks so much.

Thanks Connie. These do look nice. What I made last year was, I think, a variation on a popular vanilla cupcake recipe but where a Buzzer made it a margarita flavor. So good & want to make them next weekend.

Hi nanny! No this wasn't a bar but cupcakes. So very good. I'm memory slow but know I made these & were so good. Almost certain, in my memory impaired state!!, that it was a recipe from a buzz member.

Thank you so much for looking nanny! May have been ScotDog's recipe but could be so wrong. I seem to remember there was talk of these for a while last year. So very good.

LOL! I was just looking through my stuff for that recipe! I think it was more than a year ago, lol! I just used the Simple White Cake Recipe on here and replaced the liquid with Margarita Mix.

Weird, that link was working for me. Here is the review . . . .I don't normally review recipes that I've changed, but I think this one is worth it. A friend made me margarita cupcakes for my birthday & I've been craving them ever since. I wanted to use this recipe (since I had no box mix) and make it into a margarita cake. I used less vanilla extract (not a huge fan of it). I made cake flour out of the all purpose and sifted several times, I replaced the milk with Jose Cuervo margarita mix. I always throw scratch mix cakes into the freezer before frosting (it had cooled a bit). I think it keeps them from drying out so much. Scratch cakes are naturally going to be dryer than box mixes (no preservatives). I topped it with a delicious lime cream cheese frosting. It's fantastic!

And, weirdly I don't remember *making cake flour* or why I wouldn't explain how or why :)

Could it be one of the Taste of Home recipes? You can still find those on their site.
