By looking at your recipes and the stars that you received,I would consider you a pro! How many people do you know, who panic when they have to cook for a crowd or make a special dinner?I bet you don't,so consider yourself a pro!

From AR Elizabeth . . . . When we first launched Supporting Membership, the emphasis was on supporting a great site that our members loved and wanted to support financially. Because of that, "Supporting Membership" implies that AR benefits from your membership like a non-profit would. Over the years, though, Supporting Membership has come to mean more that that, especially with the addition of tools like Menu Planner. The benefits of Pro are for our community as well. We are constantly thinking of ways to improve the Pro experience so that it's something you get even more out of, not just so that you're supporting the AR brand (though of course we love your loyalty!). So we hope you'll think of it this way: Pro IS more of an experience than a label. It's something you've chosen to upgrade to (wisely), not who you are.

To me, it's just getting to use the menu planner and the shopping list feature. I don't want it enough to go PRO though. I'll find free ones online elsewhere.

I assume you are asking about paying for a membership (i.e. PRO or supporting membership as it used to be called). Features you get by paying are a blog, more print options and the menu planner feature

Organization seems to be the biggest PRO feature that I can see. That is like saying a new kitchen with new appliances will make me a better cook. NOT!

Thanks, everyone! I appreciate your input!

I was a supporting member until I found out Allrecipes was purchased by Readers Digest for something like $60,000,000.00. So so sorry, but after that, I opted out...

Don't get me wrong - I love AR and the members are all absolute gems - but at the time I let my membership lapse they had really jacked up the price and I just didn't think menu planning and customizing recipes was worth it. Again, so sorry
