Do you use the same ingredients with a cake mix that is only 15.25 oz (they are no longer 18.25!)? This question is for the Easy Lemon Cookies. Thank you, Margo

I don't know about the cookies but when I made my Grandaughter's wedding cake I added 2 ounces to each cake mix from and extra cake mix just to be on the safe side. I used the White Almond Wedding Cake recipe and it turned out perfect.

You can add 1/3 cup of flour and 1/2 tsp baking powder to the dry mix. It should help. It's a shame the companies have done this to us. Back to scratch baking! I don't use cake mix for basis of most baked goods anymore anyway. There is also a 'cake extender' you could try, but it is just to make a bigger cake. 1 cup flour, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 to 2 teaspoons flavoring, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1 egg and 1/2 cup water or milk.

I add 1/3 cup plus 2 tablespoons cake mix from an additional box. I place the rest of the mix in a ziploc freezer bag for later use.

sweet treats there is a formula that paula posted but when I use a "cake mix" based cookie recipe I just add flour till the dough looks right lol I have even missed the added leavening and they still work as cookies. Sorry no precise help

I have made these in the past and find that you can either add a bit more flour or less oil and they come out fine. Making cookies is more forgiving them making a cake since you know what the consistency of the dough should be. Eggs are never an exact size, so I don't get overly concerned on precise measurements with these types of recipes.
