Every time I use the self cleaning cycle on my oven it leaves some kind of residue. When I wipe it out it looks like it comes off, but when it dries it is still there. Any tips on how to get it off would be appreciated.

Hey Pam. I always just wipe with wet rag or paper towel a few times until the residue left from cleaning is minimal. Maybe you are just not rinsing it off enough. ? Hope this helped..

I agree with SDA....also you could use some windex and paper towels as a final wipe down.....that seems to cut that residue and leave it shiny without any smelly residue when you heat the oven.

I wipe with diluted vinegar and the film comes off.
