Hey everyone. I haven't been on allrecipes forever!! I have missed it so much!:) This weekend is the FFA labor auction. They auction off pies. My mom and I have a bet whos pie will sell higher. I'm thinking of this recipe below. She is making French Silk Pie, so I think this will completely different. Does anyone have a really good pie recipe? Thanks!:)

Banana Split Ice Cream Pie

Fanciful and fruity, this pie begins with a chocolate cookie crust and gets more delicious by the layer. What follows are sliced bananas, strawberry ice cream, crushed pineapple, whipped cream and chopped nuts. Once this old-fashioned favorite is out of the freezer and ready to serve, it's topped with maraschino cherries.

	CookandBakeGirl Mar. 15, 2013 4:18 pm The pies stay in the fridge/freezer until they are sold. The reviews say if you freeze it the full lenght of time it takes forever for it to thaw, so I think it will be fine.:) But what's your opinion?

	PAMELA D. aPROpos of nothing Mar. 15, 2013 4:22 pm A few years back I made one of the french silk pies from AR . I beat it forever like it said, the texture was perfect, no grainy sugar issues. However, It was cloyingly sweet and we couldn't eat it so I vote for the ice cream pie.

	HotGrandma Mar. 15, 2013 4:53 pm Hi C&BGirl. An idea for you. Melt 3/4 cup of chocolate chips with 2 tbsp shortening slowly in the microwave until smooth. Use to 'paint' the inside of your crust. Add filling. Melt 1/4 cup chocolate chips & 1 tbsp shortening & drizzle over the top. Or could shave or grate chocolate over it. The recipe doesn't say but it needs some chocolate!

	Goodfood Mar. 16, 2013 1:59 pm Assuming the bidders don't get to taste ahead of time, the bidding will most likely be based on which pie looks more appealing. Good looking presentation will probably get higher bids then a mundane (but good tasting) pie.
