OT- Sorry, but wanted to update/vent to you guys, my friends. Gramma is a bit better. Moving her to a rehab tomorrow. Kid doesn't have strep, has a throat virus of some kind. My sweet dog has a huge mouth tumor that is making it hard for her to eat and bothering her, not pain but bothering her because of it's size and that its on the roof of her mouth. Vet was able to find a way to get a lower quote on surgery, still costing $800. I don't even have enough for rent this month. Crying at vet... family irritated that I am again asking to borrow money. Grandma said no, mom said I'll think about it. Mom calls tonight and says she will lend me the money. Then tells me my grandpa was diagnosed today with acute leukemia has weeks, at best a few months. He lives in Colorodo, me in NY. Havent seen him in about 4 years. Ugh. I need a break... I feel better just venting. Thanks!

Oh Lindsay I am so sorry you were given more bad news on top of everything else already going on. I wish I had words to help you but I don't. Life just really stinks some times!

Yup. Life does stink sometimes. Trying to take care of me. Not easy with everyones needs. I decided to take 24 hours to decide if I will fly out to Colorodo. I would have to find a place for my daughter to stay, get my dog settled, find a way to get work's support (not easy as work is not going well). It's a lot to consider and need to figure out how I feel inside about it and also weigh pros and cons. I did treat us to pizza and wings tonight to give me a break. Thanks everyone!

Well, at least you have taken care of the famous things-happen-in-threes thing! I'm so sorry for your tough times. I wish there were something we could do to make it better. But probably all we can do is hold your hand and pray for you.

I feel for you and will say a prayer for you and your grandfather, especially. Call your local Humane Societ or ASPCA and ask if they can either help pay for the treatment or give you a referral to a vet who will work with you on payment.

Oh Lindsay, you sure have a lot on your plate. I am sorry for all you are going through. I wish I could help you, all I can say is maybe the vet will let you make payments or volunteer in the office in exchange for some of the bill. Couldn't hurt to ask. Glad your son is feeling better. As far as your GF, you have no need to feel guilty, call him. Talk to him and explain you can't come see him but you love him and Pray with him. Give yourself a break. {{{Hugs}}} Take care Sweety! !

I'm sorry you're having to go through all this, Lindsay. You have so much you're having to deal with right now and you seem to be managing it all well, however stressed you feel. Sending thoughts of peace, strength, and winning a lottery your way!

Thanks for the reminder Elle, I want to go get a few powerball tickets! My husband is constantly fantasizing about winning the lottery. (except he often thinks it's going to happen). I feel a little better this morning. My hubby is an over-the-road truck driver. He is on a run from Texas to Maine and came right by our town. I met him at 3am at a gas station and got a few minutes with him. I didn't want to let him go!!! Tired as I may be, it was SO worth it! I think I am close to making a decision about going to Colorodo. My vet told me to call the ASPCA here because she thinks they may help me. She can't have me work there due to liability policies (its a very large group of vet offices). She is quite compassionate though. Well, off to work. hi ho hi ho! My prayer for the day is to please not let anymore bad news come my way today. Thanks everyone youre kindness helps!

Sorry Lindsay that's a lot on your plate. Just a thought but if it's your boxer needing the surgery contact your local Boxer rescue. I work with ours here and we will help pay for surgery's or cut a deal with our rescue vet. Just a thought but it might be worth checking out. Take care of yourself!

Dear Lindsay, I am so sorry. I want to tell you that your sweet doggie photo is one of the things I most look forward to seeing when I am on AR. I am so relieved that she will be able to get the medical help she needs. God bless her. I send you all my prayers and sympathy for your grandpa. I have just been through a year of medical treatments and hospice for a loved one with a terminal illness, so I know how unbearably sad it is. I wish you all the comfort and all the peace that I can send your way.

Hi Lindsay, i just wanted to say that life gives us all a big kick every once in awhile and some of us more often than that, hang in there and its good to vent, my sister and i do that every so often, we meet at Tim Hortons and just sit and talk and talk even though there may not much we can do, but it sure feels good to pour out your heart and have someone just to listen to you!
