Hi, I have some plastic containers that I put tomato sauce in that are now stained. I washed them numerous times and even soaked them over night but they're still stained. Anyone know how to get them clean again? Thanks.

I used a Mr Clean Magic Eraser on some plastic that nothing would clean and it worked great for me.

Maybe try soaking them in bleach water or vinegar water for an hour or so and then wash with hot soapy water again

I read somewhere that if you store a tomato-based sauce in plastic, to keep it from staining, when you wash it, wash it first in cold water to get residue out before washing in hot. Never had an opportunity to try it myself, but it sounds like a plan.

Try baking soda, and next time Pam the inside of the container. Keeps tomato sauce from staining the container.
