Had some unopened lunch meat and an open packet of mayo that wasn't refrigerated overnight. Safe to eat still? Please help! Thanks!

No....darn! It's too unsafe with any lunchmeat....well, really, any food left out over night. Do you have a plan "B", like maybe tuna salad?

Or egg salad sammies? If its for the children, they love "pick up lunches".....ranch dressing and lots of carrots, celery and whatever you have in the crisper....just make it pretty and add a few cookies or graham crackers, even saltines!

Once I went to ex's house to feed cats. He was out of town. There was a half full squeeze mayo on the coffee table. I tossed it. He came back and some days later commented he couldn't find mayo. I told him I tossed it and he gave me the crazy look. Argument ensued, no you don't , yes you do, no you DON'T, YES you DO! Well, I always do except no mayo crosses my threshold. Anyway, guess he was right about just that one thing....http://www.dressings-sauces.org/mayonnaise.html

Don't take a chance on a 10¢ pk of mayo. Toss it!

Pamela D., interesting information--thanks for the link. My opinion would have been to pitch the mayo, but now I wonder. The lunchmeat, though, would have to go.
