Need my AR peeps help. I just tried stuffed cabbage leafs and stuffed peppers. Yum! I have never made them but would like to now. My question to all of you experts is..what to make with them? TIA!

So glad that you enjoyed two of my favorite dishes too, DebbyJean. If the stuffed bell peppers and cabbage mixtures do not contain rice, I like to serve garlic mashed potatoes or buttered wide egg noodles. Tje sauce tastes good over each. I usually serve glazed carrots or some other veggie other than green. Looking forward to hearing from other cooks!

Cathy..there was rice in the stuffed bell peppers..but I love mashed taters..so that sounds good. And also love glazed carrots too. Thanks.

Ukrainian Meat Filled Cabbage Rolls

Submitted by: Olga Drozd
In Ukrainian kitchens, cabbage leaves are often used as cases for soft fillings. These rolls are a little different, because the leaves are filled with a meat stuffing and not primarily a cereal mixture. This makes them 'holiday' fare. For a different flavor, use tomato juice instead of chicken broth.

This is the recipe we like a lot, with my tweaks for our tastes.

A hearty quick bread that's great with soup or chili and makes excellent toast. Flavor of bread will change, depending on type of beer used.

Chicken breast cubes, feta cheese, and kalamata olives combine with quinoa in this salad that is equally good warm or cold.

if you prefer, you can omit the protein in the quinoa salad and do a vegetarian version with your stuffed veggies:)

What I like to do is to stuff my peppers with a mixture of tuna, brown rice or couscous, cream of mushroom soup and topped with cheese. this also works great for stuffing tomatoes. Its easy to make and very yummy. Good Luck!

Wow Tina! I would never have thought of this. Sounds great. Hubs might like this better than the traditional stuffed peppers. And we both love tuna. Woohoo..win..win. Tks.
