Hi everybody! I have volunteered to take snacks in to the football game Friday night...for the marching band. I'm in desperate need of nuts and nothing 'messy' as they will be in their uniforms and eating in the stands.

Our band is hosting the middle school band kids in the county, to give them an opportunity to sample marching band. They will play with the HS band at halftime. Looks like well over 150 hungry kids!

I have a hankering for some rice krispie treats. I know they aren't glamorous, but usually a hit with everyone.

And, when I read snacks, I read something sweet, lol! This time of year brings out my sweet tooth!

Chex mix and flavored bottled water?

Rice Krispie treats, great idea! Chex mix would be good, but I think I better stick to something they can handle with one hand. Many of them have to balance their instrument in their lap, and the hat too!

How about a cookie that is unfrosted with no chocolate to stain those unforms? I thought of these, the cinnamon gives them a nice fall flavor.

Great idea, I can make a ton of those!

Oh, this would be so cute in the school colors!

I was just coming to say I did these in school colors for our marching band last week. I also bought the new oreos, shaped like footballs, and dipped one end in chocolate tinted school color.

These cheesy little homemade crackers have a warm hint of cayenne in every bite. Make them square with a knife or roller, cut them into rounds, or even make cute shapes with cookie cutters.

Don't know what your mascot is, but they showed a pic of these pig-shaped! You could use any cookie cutter.
