Last week I asked for some advice from the friendly folks here at the Buzz about an easy Karaoke song for me to sing...I'm happy to announce I survived the party last night...ended up signing ...."These Boots are Made for Walking..." with a girlfriend... Thanks for all the unconditional support you all give.... Cheers!!! p.s tomorrow will be cooking Turkey and all the fixings for company....only thing not sure about is dessert....your favourite after a big meal??? Thanks again friends!!

Yay! good for you ellie! Personally I like to let my inner Nancy Sinatra out every once and awhile, but I do feel a little self conscious sometimes, but it's all in good fun.

I didn't feel very brave xraybarb...whined about this all week before I went...in the end nobody seemed to care that I can't sing.... must have been the Tequila...

Thanks Avon....I'm very self conscious but I was happy to get through it and ended up having a good time... a good lesson for me... I don't think I would ever EVER try a serious song though....:) We went for the laughs...

'EVERYONE seems to love this dessert, perhaps because it's not too sweet. A cousin gave me the recipe long time ago, much to the delight of my children, who always enjoyed it. It's light and delicious.'

Glad you had fun singing! Next time will be easier. Here's a light dessert you might like.

This pumpkin dump cake is just as easy as the classic. With spiced cake mix and pumpkin puree, you'll have a tasty fall treat ready in a jiff.

We like this, too. I've done it with both spice and yellow cake mix, and both are good (=

I have not done this one for Thanksgiving, but I like the fact that you basically dump it all in the crockpot and walk away for four hours! [I do this at work periodically - and they LOVE it!] http://allrecipes.com/personalrecipe/62398911/crock-pot-cobbler/detail.aspx
