I have accepted a small job providing appetizer to a local bar every other Monday night. I was told they don't want a meal, just appetizers. I need some easy inexpensive ideas. The food will likely sit out throughout the football game, but I do have crockpots and can keep food chilled on plates (no wings, a wing guy is doing the alternating mondays). 20 - 30 people, mostly men. Thanks, Karen

Nacho's! Put some cheese dip in that crock-pot. There's a recipe on the side of the Velveeta box.

Will you have access to bar's stove to bake things when you get there?

Crock Pot Meatballs. These are always a favorite. You take a bag of frozen meatballs and throw them in the crock pot. Then in bowl mix 1 can whole cranberries, 1 can drained sauerkraut, 1 jar of chili sauce, 1 cup brown sugar and 1 cup water. poor over meatball and slow cook for 3-4 hours. Serve with toothpicks. These will be a hit.

Pretzels with a bite! This snack is shaken, not baked. Lemon pepper is the secret ingredient, and gives the spice marinade mixture a wonderful zest.

Three different cooking techniques--microwaving, frying, then baking--takes these potatoes to serving stage ...but the crunchy, cheese-y results make it worth the wait.
