I see lots of slow cooker recipes but not lots of pressure cooking ones. Is there a secret to using your own recipes? I would assume most things would be high pressure for 10 mins. or so. Will canned beans turn to mush in a chili?

Hello joyce! Check out Pressure Cooker Chili. It contains canned beans. In the future when you are looking for recipe ideas click the Request a Recipe link. That way we can easily attach recipes for you to consider. I usually use the pressure cooker to cook dry beans then use the pressure cooker to cook the meat, chunks of chuck. Then combine everything in the pressure cooker pot and simmer (not under pressure) on the stove for a while. Tend on only make chili when it is cold and when it is cold I like to have something simmering on the stove. Thre are a couple of other pressure cooker chili recipes, just enter in the search bar.

I checked out the other Pressure Cooker Beef Chili and it's by Chef John. Woo Hoo. I'll be making that per his instructions.

This is my personal recipe for the slow cooker. Most recipes can be done in slow cooker, remember though that pasta really isn't recommended as it will fall apart easily. IMO.
