Nana's Apple Crisp

Apples are covered with an oat and cinnamon crumble, topped with butter and baked -- very quick to assemble!

Here's mine. It was pretty good. I made a half-batch using the full amount of topping, which made it a little too dry, but it had a nice taste to it.

Imagine pork chops resting on a bed of sliced apples dotted with butter and dusted with brown sugar and cinnamon. Then imagine sherry poured over the top. Bake until tender. Eat until satisfied.

Not #7, but DH and I had this tonight. He thought it was great; I don't really care for it but don't dislike it, either-so a "4" between my three and his five.

So delicious and sweet! This pie, with its pastry crust and cinnamon-spiced oat topping, is the perfect combination of caramel apple pie and apple crumble.

This torte is made in a springform pan. Cream cheese, almonds, and apples deck this to the nines! Enjoy this dessert with your loved ones during the holidays.

Love the idea of the Bavarian Torte! I have some 4" springform pans....may have to try to make just one. Lol. Your apple bake looks good. A nice change for us, as I almost always make an oat topping. Thanks, Lobster! Glad to know you passed on the BD wishes!

Looks good! I've been planning to start making more mixed drinks, less wine-looks like a great start, and I have the cider. Thanks, midwestchef!

Impress your guests with an herb-rubbed pork roast roasted with chunks of tart apple and sweet red onion dusted with brown sugar. Serve with a pan sauce enriched with maple syrup and apple juice. Be ready to hand out copies of this recipe!

It's supposed to be RB (recipe box). Sigh. I don't wear my glasses at home and don't always realize quite what I've typed. I think I'd like this better than what we had tonight-I was thinking it needed some onion. We'll have to try this one. Thanks, njmom!

Sour Cream Apple Pie II

Submitted by: Julie Grieger
This is a twice-baked pie studded with a creamy sour cream filling that 's full of apples. The crust and filling is baked together for 45 minutes, and then the pie is topped with a buttery sugar crumble and returned to the oven until it 's golden.

This dessert is easy enough for a weeknight treat. Serve it warm with a dollop of whip cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

This soup is number 7. I liked it but others thought it too sweet. http://allrecipes.com/recipe/sweet-potato-carrot-apple-and-red-lentil-soup/detail.aspx?event8=1&prop24=SR_Title&e11=sweet%20potato%2c%20carrot%2c%20apple&e8=Quick%20Search&event10=1&e7=%2fmy%2fshared%2freviews%2fdefault.aspx

No danger of me making the Fish Smoothy! Lol. It would probably be great without the salmon. It might be with the salmon, but it is definitely a bizarre apple recipe. The soup looks pretty good-I'll run it by DD when she's home. Don't think DH would enjoy it-he likes his meat. I wonder how it would taste cold. Thanks for the recipes, Marie C.!
