JansRecipes is looking for: (4 recommendations)
I go to Chinatown in Chicago quite often. They have a very soft, homebaked roll. They are stuffed with different things such as barbequed pork. I'd love to find out the name of these to search recipes, but can't read Chinese and don't understand what they say it is. I hope you can help with this. Thanks!

my favorite is called char siu bao or other names like siopao also either in regular sweet bread or steamed.

Thanks, moaa! I remembered that one was filled with egg and possibly cheese. The main thing I need is the bun recipe. I'll check out your suggestions! :)

My sister-in law is Chinese and this is one of her most delicious Dim Sum recipes. It's Chinese name is Char Siu Bao, takes a little effort but is extremely worth it.
