Payday candy bar lovers: Did you know that if you mix candy corn and salted peanuts in a bowl the combination will taste just like Payday bars?

In a 50/50 mix? I may have to try this for my chocolate-hating manchild . . .

Any ratio you want; I like more peanuts than candy corn.

This has been a midwest fall staple for as long as I remember. My grandma used to make all the grandkids their own special bags of this. Some of the boys liked the tiny red hots added to theirs.

'Perfect for Halloween, this snack mix pairs candy corn with crisp cereal tossed with a savory seasoning that has a hint of peanut butter,' says field editor DeEtta Rasmussen, Fort Madison, Iowa. 'The bowl empties in no time.'

When I click on this recipe, Mason's G-Ma, I get "Mushroom Stuffing Balls" oh, yuck! I would rather have your recipe, guess I'll go look at TOH!

LOL!!! Sounds like a MAJOR glitch! I thought it was supposed to take you to something "similar" - LOLOLOL! I would think "Movie Theater Floor Popcorn" [or whatever it's called!] would be a better sub than Mushroom Stuffing Balls!

you're welcome. I wish they would just make these links give an error message so we'd know it wasn't the right recipe.

A delicious mixture of popcorn, candies, and corn chips, all coated with white chocolate, looks like something you'd find on the floor of the movie theater. Good, though.

This easy and inexpensive candy tastes like that famous crunchy peanut candy bar. Buy your candy supplies after Halloween to get a great price, then make a batch or two for Christmas gifts and cookie trays.

I didn't review this, but that is my photo there. It can't get much easier than that. But these are like Butterfinger candybars.

OHHHH, Marianne, where has this recipe been all my life? Sounds delicious.....I love candy corn and Butterfingers.
