Went to Popeye's chicken tonight not knowing it was Tuesday and they have some awesome deals on Tuesdays. 2 pieces for 99 cents. They had a family meal that had 9 pieces, family size mashed potatoes or whatever side you want and biscuits for five bucks! My hubs ate 8 pieces. Is that normal?? He eats a lot but man that is a lot of food. Do your men eat like that?? I can hardly finish a whole thigh sometimes lol.

You know, with guys, sometimes it's all about the bargain. If they can pretty much eat all they want for a low price, they'll stuff their gullet. And then you get to hear them belch afterwards, LOL!

Not normal at all, but then, Popeye's does have some good chicken! And their gravy is hands down the best in fast food. I'll have to remember the Tuesday deal.

Well I went there thinking I was going to get five pieces for 7.99 with a side (their cupon on the website) but Tuesdays aparrently it is different. Usually I go to Churches and get 12 pieces for $10 or so and he eats the same. Popeyes is usually kinda expensive but I couldnt have made that meal myself with it being that price. Even at jack in the box he will order 20 tacos and eat them all. He is six five and about 290 so he isnt overweight or anything just eats a whole lot!

Mimosa if you go on a Tuesday I would suggest going either early or late. I went today at 7 and was there almost an hour but when I was leaving the line was like normal. They do have really good chicken though so I waited the hour. Well 30 in line 30 for food. Sucked but was worth it. It is my hubs favorite and it is our anniversary today so I wanted to go get it for him otherwise I probably would have left.

Jess, just as an aside, Popeye's is reputed to be a very "fussy" buyer of products...if there is the slightest thing "wrong" with the purchase, they reject it, which is not always the case elsewhere We have them here, but have not tried them, but expect that they will be pretty impeccable when we get around to it... If something is really "good" and you are male, and relatively young, it may become difficult to stop eating...can recall (dimly) when I was young and dumb and full of...well lets not go there..but eating a 16 oz steak was no challenge, neither a 12 slice commercial pizza with al sort of toppings...can't say I could do that today, but your Husband , as I understand, does some heavy work that would burn those calories and is a hundred odd pounds bigger than me, so I doubt there is any sort of "issue" here atv this point!

Yes men tend to inhale food... my fiance can eat over half of a 9 x 13 lasagna w/ salad and half loaf of garlic bread

My husband is 6' 4", but he only weighs 180! He's been thin all his life and definitely wouldn't ever eat that much.

6'5" is a big man! Probably takes a lot of food to fill up a body that size. My son in-law is 6'6", 26o lb of solid muscle, built like a brick **** house and is chief of police in his community. Wouldn't want to meet up with him in a dark alley doing something wrong!

If he's young, not unusual. When my first husband and I married, I cooked servings for six for the two of us. If he was hungry, he might scramble a dozen eggs as a snack. The two boys also-at about 13 they started eating much more. It wasn't unusial to cook ten pounds of chicken quarters and at least five pound of potatoes along with a salad and a vegetable for one meal when they were teens. My oldest would sometimes have four or five sandwiches before supper. All very thin men. The youngest was put on a 6000ca/day diet to try to give him some body fat. Now, for some reason my daughter was never that thin naturally, had to work at it....sigh. What I wouldn't have given to have their metabolism.

He probably goes through a roll of Charmin each day too.
