Watching the show "Chopped" they had goat chops. Where can you find goat chops? Does it taste like lamb? I'd try them! would you!!

Not sure, but try a butcher that would supply greek restaurants. And make a point of asing for "baby goat", because I sort of think that this would be like the difference between "lamb" and "mutton"...

Hello GM, LOL, they do have somevweird combos on that show for sure!! Is there a Greek restaurant near you? Maybe you could ask them. Might have to try the internet and have em shipped to you. good luck!

buy them when you can find them. cheap stuff. i ate them in a beef stew at an international farmers market. i bought some but, mine tasted like shoe leather. i'm certainly going to try 'em again. so very good!

A greek restaurant?? hmmm don't know. They made a comment about how much goat meat is eaten(??) ate(??!!!) around the world. I found goat head though!!!

If it was my challenge, I'd be taking the baby goat chops, as opposed a more mature animal. You'd want something boneless, as the fat is like sheep or deer, is going to have that tallowy taste (so you want it trimmed tight) Marinate with red wine, tenderise, and cook no further than medium rare... My thoughts, anyways...

I saw them at Hillers market in Ann Arbor Mi. Maybe one of those are in your area. Or maybe Whole Foods...
