Buttermilk Coleslaw

Creamy buttermilk coleslaw that is easy and quick.

	Jul. 10, 2012 9:50 am I don't have celery seed or celery salt. I have never used it in any recipe, sooooo is there anything I can substitute for it or can I just leave it out of the recipe without compromising the taste?

	manella Jul. 10, 2012 9:53 am hi brenda, i would leave it out.I don't think it would hurt,i don't use it either never really noticed the difference.I think your ok.

	Saveur Jul. 10, 2012 10:08 am Do you have any celery that has leaves on it? You could chop a few of the leaves, would give a nice fresh flavor. I love celery seed, brenda, pick some up next time you are in the grocery. I add it to any soup or stew that has veggies in it, my "secret ingredient"...adds such a nice, fresh veg flavor. You can use the celery salt, too, just omit any added salt. And of course it's great in Bloody Mary's and on the rim of Bloddy Mary glasses!
