Late-Night Breadsticks

It took no time at all for our home economist to turn frozen bread dough into these irresistible breadsticks. Full cheese flavor, the speedy snacks disappear fast, especially if served with marinara or pizza sauce for dipping.

This is a simple mixed drink that is smooth and slightly sweet. If you don't like the taste of alcohol, then you will enjoy this recipe that I fix when I can't sleep.

Nitey Night Cookies

These are called Nitey Night Cookies because you put them in a preheated - but turned-off oven - overnight, and when you wake up, they're ready to eat! My mom used to make them for me as a kid and I thought it was great fun.

No nuclear experience. I live in the Northwest which is almost entirely hydropower.

Do you enjoy your job?

Jun. 15, 2012 11:02 pm
The shifts are fairly demanding. I work 12-hour rotating shifts. This week, I am on Nights. Next week, I'll be on Days. Dams are often located in the middle of nowhere, so I choose to live 50 miles from work. So every shift takes up 14+ hours out of your day. But the job itself is fantastic! Love it!

Bikerfamily, which dam do you work at?

Jun. 15, 2012 11:23 pm
KA: My employer might not be thrilled if I mentioned it online. Let's just say a few dams downriver from where you grew up. ;)

When my boys had a hard time getting to sleep I came up with this warm milk to help calm them. Even now years after they began drinking it. They still enjoy it during homework, or coming in from a cold day of play. I too have drank it after a long days work. I hope you enjoy this recipe as well for years to come.
