  1. -Slightly beat egg yolks
  2. -Add milk
  3. -Combine the first three ingredients
  4. -Mix together in top of double boiler
  5. -Cook on low, stirring constantly, until the consistency of custard
  6. -Add vanilla
  7. -Line a baking dish with vanilla wafers
  8. -Slice bananas over the wafers
  9. -Pour half of the custard mix over wafers/ bananas
  10. -Repeat with another layer of wafers, then bananas, then custard
  11. -Whip the egg whites with the 6 tablespoons of sugar
  12. -Beat until stiff
  13. -Put this meringue on top of pudding
  14. -Bake 425 degrees about five minutes, or until brown
