  1. 1. Brown ground beef in batches and add salt, pepper and garlic as meat is browning. Add each batch to large pot as you go.
  2. 2. Add marinara sauce and tomato sauce to pot. Chop mushrooms and add to pot.
  3. 3. Brown sausages in batches until well done. Drain on paper towels and slice thinly and add to pot.
  4. 4. Add spices and wine.
  5. 5. Simmer for two hours or more.
  6. 6. Taste for seasoning - if too much of a tomato taste, adjust by adding a little sugar, red crushed peppers or grated parmesan cheese.
  7. 6. Store in food safe plastic containers and refrigerate until next day
