Easy Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms

"These are messy but delicious. I love to make them ahead and put them in the fridge up to a day before. When I am ready to use I bake them then. This is great if you are hosting a dinner party and want a fabulous appetizer without working when the guests arrive. They will be asking for the recipe when they try these!"

  1. Clean mushrooms and remove stems.
  2. Chop stems in small pieces and saute in butter until tender and remove from pan and set aside.
  3. Saute sausage in same pan and drain well.
  4. Mix cream cheese and dressing mix, add sausage and stems.
  5. Stuff mushroom caps with mixture and put on ungreased baking pan.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 - 30 minutes.
